On August 23, Binance Futures announced the listing of the VIDT/USDT trading pair with up to 75x leverage. Following this news, the price of VIDT increased by 50%, which is a common price reaction for low-cap coins after being listed on Binance Futures.
Over the past 9 days (August 14 – August 23), Binance has listed 11 coins on the Futures platform. This is a significant increase compared to the previous period when no coins were listed in the second half of July.
Let’s analyze the latest Futures listings and identify potential coins that have not been listed on Futures. According to Binance Futures’ announcement page, 11 coins were listed from August 14 to August 23 as follows:
- $BANANA (Banana Gun)
- $G (Gravity)
- $RARE (Super Rare)
- $SYN (Synapse)
- $SYS (Syscoin)
- $VOXEL (Voxies)
- $BRETT (Brett)
- $ALPACA (Alpaca Finance)
- $POPCAT (Pop Cat)
- $SUN (Sun)
- $VIDT (VIDT DAO)
Among these 11 coins, only BRETT and POPCAT have not been listed on Binance Spot before. The remaining nine coins have all been listed on Binance Spot and had a market capitalization of less than $200 million before the announcement of the Futures listing.
Interestingly, the four new coins recently listed on Binance Futures all increased their maximum leverage from 50x to 75x. It seems that Binance is catering to the “risky investment” needs of traders.
With a listing density of more than 1 coin per day, Binance is capitalizing on the strong cash flow into the market following the flash dump on August 5. After being listed on Futures, most low-cap coins experienced significant increases ranging from 50% to 100% in just a few days.
The performance of low-cap coins listed on Futures last week was very impressive, notably VIDT (up 111%), SUN (up 128%), and ALPACA (up 158%). The RARE token even quadrupled in value after the Futures listing announcement.
Traders are eagerly seeking low-cap coins that have not been listed on Futures. CoinMinutes has identified some notable coins, including TROY, VIB, OG, AST, VITE, FIO, PIVX, and GFT. These coins have not been listed by Binance in the Monitoring section, reducing the risk of being delisted.
